President Biden’s top intelligence agencies are participating in nail painting and flag crocheting activities this June, in celebration of what is colloquially known as “pride month,” according to a new report.
Federal staffers at the CIA and FBI, among others, are encouraged to have their nails painted with either the transgender or “pride” flag colors during one of the various “pride-themed” events taking place during work hours. “We’ll do everything for you, and you might just love it,” according to the document (obtained by the Daily Wire), which includes the schedule and descriptions of the pro-LGBT events. “What better way to show your allyship to the community?”
The events are coordinated by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and span an entire month. Agency employees in the country’s most information-sensitive offices can step away from work to participate in arts and crafts on company time, according to the memo.
ODNI is a cabinet-level office that oversees agencies such as the FBI and CIA, as well as the intelligence offices of the various military branches.
The Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance, known as FVEY, is noted in the document. The group is an intelligence alliance consisting of Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and New Zealand. The countries that make up the alliance “exchange views on subjects of mutual interest and concern,” according to the ODNI website.
Foreign intelligence agents were present to teach crocheting to celebrate “pride,” the memo indicated. “For crochet, we will have some experienced FVEY crocheters teaching you to make Pride flags,” it said.
The ODNI assured employees the event is “suitable for all abilities, even if you’ve never picked up a crochet hook.”
Republican Rep. Mike Waltz reacted to the report of the memo on X. “What are we doing?” he demanded. “Threats are exploding. The world is on fire. And this is what Biden’s intel officials are prioritizing?”
The Daily Wire noted that the memo “demonstrates one of the most blatant ways in which the most powerful instruments of the federal government have been captured and leveraged by leftwing ideologues.”
Other activities detailed in the memo include a lecture hosted by nonbinary transgender activist AC Dumlao titled “Call Them By Their Name,” in which attendees would experience “a comprehensive, compassionate and informational event that will provide a keen understanding of what it means to be an ally to this community.”
Agency employees are also encouraged to contribute to a “Why I Am An Ally” blog series.
“While Russian ships are 90 miles off the coast of Florida and China is circling Taiwan, Biden’s top intelligence official is hosting a nail painting and crochet seminar for pride month,” said Rep. Brian Mast of Florida.
