Democrats — and their old pals in the accomplice media — are coalescing around the one candidate they long hoped would not be counted on to lead.

They called it.

Several Republican lawmakers who spoke to The Federalist following Sunday’s announcement that President Joe Biden was bowing out of the presidential race predicted the Democrats would immediately pivot to put lipstick on a political pig. Granted, knowing what we know about the left and corporate media, it wasn’t all that difficult a prediction to make.

Indeed, while Vice President Kamala Harris has polled even lower than lonesome Joe for much of Biden’s unpopular presidency, Democrats — and their old pals in the accomplice media — are coalescing around the one candidate they long hoped would not be counted on to lead.

‘Putting Trumpworld on its Back Feet’

“The vice president has injected much-needed energy into the Democratic Party while putting Trumpworld on its back feet,” Vanity Fair, a joke of a publication that not even Kamala could cackle at, declared in a banal piece headlined, “We’re All the KHive Now.”

There was the identity politics positioning you might expect from the usual race- and sex-baiting suspects. “With Kamala Harris, Democrats would bet against US history of sexism, racism,” Reuters proclaimed in a headline dripping with critical race theory.

And how about this for the soft lunacy of low exceptions, CNN’s insane headline, “How Harris is preparing to contrast her record as a prosecutor with Trump’s as a felon”? Ask the left’s opinion on the Democrat’s prosecutorial record, and ask anyone with any understanding of the law and lawfare about the left’s prosecution of Trump.

From Parasite to Patriot

The New York Times, chief media sponsor of the silent coup to push out Biden, gleefully reported late Monday afternoon that “Many Elected Democrats Quickly Endorsed Kamala Harris.”

“A majority of Democrats in Congress and most of the country’s Democratic governors” are getting on the Kamala train after a message Sunday on Xostensibly from Biden — announced the incumbent was stepping aside and giving his blessing to his ever-giggling VP, the Times reported. Many of the Dems now standing behind Harris also are praising the octogenarian president they’ve thrown under the bus for getting the hell out of the way and saving The Democracy (as in the party and its chances in November).

“Joe Biden has not only been a great president and a great legislative leader but he is a truly amazing human being. His decision of course was not easy, but he once again put his country, his party, and our future first,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said after reportedly running over Biden’s political corpse in recent days.

Schumer, according to reports, had on Saturday tracked the president down in the only place anyone can apparently find him these days: at the Biden family beach house in Delaware. He sat with the old man, maybe caressing his hand, perhaps caressing his ego, and then stating in a statement that the two old windbags “had a good meeting.”

The Dems love Biden so much more today than they did just a few short days ago when he was holding on to power like grim death, which also seems to be circling the discarded president. Last week, Democrats called lonesome Joe “selfish”; today, they’re absurdly likening the self-interested Biden to Washington. Remember the not-so-invisible hand of U.S. Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., extending his middle finger to Biden’s lingering reelection hopes?

“Democratic party leaders all across this country need to stop being coy, quiet and polite about it and they need to express firmly their opinion that the president should step aside and they need to go to President Biden’s campaign team and they need to tell him, ‘You are committing an epic act of political malpractice.’ Please stop and please put the interests of the party and the country ahead of the selfish interests of Joe Biden,” Smith said not long before Biden fell on his political sword.

Reinventing Kamala

So too is the Democrats’ reinvention of Kamala Harris, the chronic laugher not even self-aware enough to be the executive branch court jester.

Even before Biden’s apparent LJB moment via X, the Associated Press was pushing out a poll insisting, “6 in 10 Democrats believe Kamala Harris would do a good job in the top slot.” Really? RealClearPolitics’ polling averages show Harris’ job approval rating under 39 percent, with 54 percent disapproving. While Harris is faring slightly better than her boss’s basement-level ratings, she’s still deeply underwater with the American voter.

A New York Times/Siena College poll conducted before the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, the GOP’s presidential nominee, and Biden’s withdrawal from the race, suggests Harris is running within a couple percentage points of Trump — a percentage point better than Biden. But the public-relations team is looking to paint a picture that unpopular Kamala can reinvigorate the troops.

NBC election analyst Steve Kornacki on Monday said the idea that Harris will fare better than Biden is “based more on hope” than the actual numbers.

Biden’s phony border czar, who couldn’t seem to ever get to the border, is even less popular than Biden in Texas, according to a poll earlier this month by the University of Houston/Texas Southern University.

“Most of the [Texas] Democrats, while they may have to hold their nose, they’re still supporting Biden just because they don’t like the other guy,” Senior Executive Director of Hobby School of Public Affairs Renée Cross, who assisted in the poll, told the Texas Tribune.

The Lone Star State is not alone in that sentiment.

‘No Better Than Him’

But even if the well-heeled left doesn’t have much of a candidate, it seemingly has an endless supply of campaign cash. The Harris campaign late Monday claimed it had raised more than $80 million since old Joe was given the boot, according to leftist publication Mother Jones, which has routinely railed against big money in politics, at least big money on the right. That’s on top of the $240 million the campaign has in the bank, the publication reported.

For Trump, it’s six on one hand, half a dozen on the other.

“I think she is no better than him,” the GOP candidate said Sunday following word that Biden was stepping aside and that Harris is rising up. “She could be far less competent, which is hard to believe.”

The Washington Post, at least in one column, took a middling view of the matter.

“Harris has not been a great politician. But hopefully she’s good enough,” the piece’s headline prayed
